Normally I am a huge fan of Asian cinema, so of course I jumped at the chance to sit down and watch "Finding Mr. Right" aka "Bei Jing yu shang Xi Ya Tu" believing it to be a romantic comedy that is seen in abundance from the Hong Kong at over 2 hours, this movie turned out to be an unfathomably boring ordeal to suffer through. And I must admit that I gave up 70 minutes into the movie out of sheer and utter characters in the movie were generic, flat and lacking screen charisma. The cast, however, were adequate, although they were given next to nothing to work with in terms of characters, plot and movie was so incredibly slow paced and with the fact that next to nothing happened, it just prolonged the agony and suffering, making it unbearable to sit and writer Xiaolu Xue didn't manage to produce a captivating story here and the movie was just not particularly appealing on any level. Especially when there are so many other far more entertaining, funny and enjoyable movies in the Asian cinema, and more specifically from Hong have no intention of returning to watch "Finding Mr. Right" because it just failed to impress on any level. Nor do I have any intention of sitting down to watch the sequel that it spawned. Story 10 Acting/Cast Music Rewatch Value Beautiful story, chinese version of sleepless in Seattle. The gir diva actually comes to Seattle from beijing and the first 5 minutes at the immigration counter was just hilarious. Shes such a diva ordering people around but it wasnt annoying. Frank reminded me of sam merlot from true blood. Hes just a nice guy u feel sorry for him but he loves his daughter so much. There's no kissing scenes but you feel the attraction between them. Snotty girlmistress gets prego by rich man; rich man sends her to US to live in a birthing home. Snotty get slapped with reality, a nice man - Frank stays by her side.
